Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia is a native of Canada and is well-known among Canadians for her role as a Canadian actor on the Freeform fantasy television show Shadowhunters. She also appeared in Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda e Voltea and a'que te love. As a dancer and model, Toubia has also achieved great success in both of these fields. She is a native of Montreal, but grew up and studied in Texas. Her passion for performing has been with her since the age of a child. Since she was a child, she had been trained in various dance forms. At the age of 15 old, she started competing in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia gained a lot of attention during 2008 as she appeared in the second season of Univision beauty pageant show Nuestra Belleza Latina. In 2010, she made her debut on stage as a receptionist for the Telemundo's telenovela Aurora. Toubia was in the 2015 action drama Tattooed Love, her debut film. Her performance in the role of Shadowhunter earned her recognition at the Teen Choice Awards in both 2018 and 2017 for the Best TV Actress Fantasy/Sci-Fi. Her parents were ironworker Olden Wilson, and former Lillian Ryan who worked as a domestic servant. Nancy Wilson was first child of six.
