Nancy Wilson and Maisie Richardson

Nancy Wilson was born 20th February 1937 in Chillicothe. She was the daughter of Olden Wilson, an iron worker, and Lillian Ryan (a former housemaid). Nancy Wilson was the only born child at the age of 6. Nancy's father was an avid musician and would play records in the family. This was a major influence upon her growing up. As a young girl, she already had a strong sense of who she was and what she wanted to do. The church choir was instrumental in developing this talent. At the age of 15 and had a chance to win the talent show on T.V. and was able to regularly appear on The Skyline Melodies Tv Show while still in High School. The nightclubs where she was a regular performer, she began singing at the age of 15. When she graduated from high school, aged 17 Nancy took a class for a year at Ohio's Central State College now Central State University before dropping out and becoming a professional singer. In 1956 she released her debut album in Rusty's Carolyn Club Big Band. The group toured with Rusty Bryant between 1956 and 1958. Nancy began her recording career with Dot Records in 1956, as part of the group. Cannonball Aderley suggested that she move into New York so as to improve her career. In 1959 she moved to The Big Town. After just a few days the manager of Adderley was impressed by her voice and hired her. It was a contract by Capitol Records in the year 1960. In 1960, she released her first single. Guess who? Capitol published five Nancy Wilson records in just two years. Following the influence of Adderley she shifted her focus from R&B into jazz. Their collaboration in 1962 with Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley was instrumental in propelling her to the top as she released her biggest smash Tell Me the Truth in 1963. The singer was offered a position in New York's Coconut Grove nightclub, America's premier club.

Maisie's professional career started in the acting world through the short film Our First World. Her appearance was in a shorter film Americano and Rum as Ellie in 2013. The actress was featured in a cameo role of Korr Sella in the movie Short Wars: The Force Awakens in the year 2015. Then, she appeared in the Netflix Original Film The Kissing Booth Season 2 as Chloe Winthrop.
