The Jazz singer Nancy Wilson a three-time Grammy Award winner was born February 20, 1937, in Chillicothe Ohio to iron-worker Olden Wilson and the former Lillian Ryan who worked as domestic helper. Nancy was the sixth of seven children. Nancy was a child who listened to records from her father as well as his love for music. As a young girl, she already had a strong sense of who she was as well as what she hoped to accomplish. The choir at church helped develop her talent. At the age of 15 and had a chance to win an audition on television and began appearing on The Skyline Melodies Tv Show while still in High School. The same year, she began to work in nightclubs. Cannonball adderley encouraged her to go to New York in order to advance her career. She visited The Big Town, New York in 1959. Her agent heard her speak in The Blue Morocco Night Club, Boston Road, The Bronx and she signed. Within a month after arriving at New York City. Her debut on the recording stage came in 1960 by releasing a single after he obtained an agreement with Capitol records. Guess Who I See Today? Capitol published five Nancy Wilson records in just two years. She initially focused on blues and rhythm under the influence of Adderley, she shifted away from R&B and began to embrace the torch and jazz genres. Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley's collaboration in 1962 was instrumental to make her a star and her hit Tell Me the Truth was released in 1963. In the following year, she was invited to perform at New York's Coconut Grove, the most sought-after club in America.

Maisie was first introduced to acting in the year 2012, in the film Our First World. Ellie played her role in the short film of 2013 Americano and Rum. In 2015, she was the character of Korr Sella on the TV show Short Wars: Force Awakening. In the Netflix Original Movie The Kissing Booth Season 2 or 3 she played Chloe Winthrop.
