Nancy Wilson, a jazz performer and three-time Grammy Award winner was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on the 20th of February, 1937. She was married to Olden Wilson, an ironworker. was employed for a lengthy period as housekeeper. Nancy Wilson was the first baby of six. Nancy was inspired by her father's musical tastes and the records that were played in her family home. By the age of four, Nancy was aware that she would like to become a musician. The singer was brought in to perform at The Blue Morocco Night Club located in The Bronx which was where her agent had come across her. His agent signed her with Capitol in 1960. Nancy Wilson, Cannonball Adderley as well as their 1962 partnership helped her reach the top. The singer had her breakout hit Tell Me the Truth by 1963. The following year it led to her being booked at New York's Coconut Grove - the top nightclub in America.
