Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe, as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has the name Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing the piano and singing in the church. Her music career started in Atlanta at Spellman College. Sunshine was brought to the attention of America during the four performances per day at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being invited to sing for President Barack Obama at his inauguration.

Her parents were ironworker Olden Wilson, and former Lillian Ryan who worked as a domestic servant. Nancy Wilson was first child of six.
