Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder chose her name after her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder is a self-described Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. At the age of seven, Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated to Mendocino County California. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder was a voracious bookworm and would spend her days reading books as she had no television. Ryder began to take acting classes in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of twelve years old. Lucas was released in 1986, and Ryder who was just 15 years old, was offered an acting job as a lead actor. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her time in high school. Ryder hoped the acting profession would change the way she dealt with bullying. However, it didn't come to pass. But she continued to chase the dreams she had. In 1988, she got her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to play successful roles in many movies. In 1993, he was nominated twice for Academy Awards.
